Top 3 DLC games that should go multiplatform
Everyone always looks at what exclusive AAA title their favorite consoles have and then go crazy when an exclusive game is announced as a cross platform. This doesn’t bother me at all and I wish more games went multi platform but some limitations such as disc storage, controller functinallity, and just plain old past contracts prevent this. What I don’t understand is why developers choose to release their DLC only games on just one console. Below are the top 3 DLC games, one from each console that should be cross platform.
Braid
XBOX360

One of the most beautiful looking platformer/puzzle games across all systems. This game is more about trying to figure out how to get past a level by using Tim’s (the protagonist) powers rather than timing a jump perfectly. Tim’s powers range from slowing down time to rewinding time but unlike many of the action games out there where time manipulation is used to help shoot down the baddies in this game it’s used to figure out the ultimate riddle.
PixelJunk Monsters
PS3

Like all desktop tower defense games PixelJunk Monsters is very simple, you build defense towers to stop monsters from getting to your base. Unlike all other desktop tower defense games this one has charm, from the quirky avatar which is used to build the towers, the imaginative monsters, fun and upbeat sound design, and the colorfly simple 2d graphics. The pacing of the levels is also balanced and gives the player enough time to figure out what monsters vulnerabilities are to the more minute strategies of buidling a new tower to upgrading an existing one. Easily the best desktop tower defense game out there.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King
Wii

At it’s core it’s a sim city esque game set in a Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles world where you don’t control any of the heroes but instead you build up the town where they live in order to give them the items they need to complete quests. During these quests the heroe’s gain resources for you to build up your town, it’s a simple gameplay mechanic but works very well because some heroes are better at certain quests than others and it’s also rewarding to see them level up even though you don’t directly control them. My only problem with this game is that it get’s expensive to get all the content since their are numerous packs that add to the gameplay (some which should have been in the original release).
